Join us for a free special screening of the HBO film ""WALKOUT"" at our university and experience a powerful and inspiring story of activism and social justice. Based on the true events of the 1968 Chicano student walkouts in East Los Angeles, the film follows a group of young Latino activists who risked everything to demand educational equality and social change. Don't miss this opportunity to witness their remarkable journey. Introduction by a special guest alumni of IUB. Immediately following the film, stick around and share in a brief open-mic. Snacks available for purchase.
Sponsored by UB Films and hosted by the Latiné Graduate & Professional Student Union at Indiana University (LGPSU)
